Best Bargain Eyeshadow Palette

One of the most asked questions I get is 'What's the best highstreet/drugstore eyeshadow?'. It seems most eyeshadows are either not good quality, have a rubbish shade range or are overpriced.
My favourite eyeshadow palettes you can get in high street shops are the Sleek palettes.

The Sleek eyeshadow palettes consist of 12 eyeshadows and are priced at £7.99 - BARGAIN!
My favourite of the selection is Storm (pictured). I use it often as most of the shades are natural and neutral, but there are some more daring shades in there like dark green or pink, and there's so many different looks you can get out of it. There's a mixture of light and dark colours, shimmery and matte. For the price I really don't think you can beat the quality of these shadows, they're so pigmented and you can really built them up to an intense colour. The wear of them isn't as long as high end shadows, that's expected, but they still last all day with a primer, without a primer they would last a good time still but just may crease a little - it's best to try and build them up to avoid this.

TOP ROW SWATCHES

BOTTOM ROW SWATCHES

Other than Storm there are 14 other palettes to choose from, so there'll be something to please everyone. There's some really bright and intense coloured palettes, some naturals palettes, matte palettes and of course palettes with a mixture.
The packaging is very sleek (yep) and doesn't feel too cheap. The lid on my palette has broken because I dropped it, but I think they're quite durable.

Sleek, in my opinion, do the best eyeshadows for such a barginous price. You can buy Sleek eyeshadow palettes on their website anywhere in the world and in Superdrug in the UK.
I've got my eye on the Oh So Special and the Au Naturals palettes next!

Sleek Blush - Life's A Peach | REVIEW AND SWATCH

Sleek, by far my favourite high street/drugstore brand for blushes - pigmented, great range of colours, inexpensive, nicely packaged and just brilliant. As it's now summer time I wanted a peachy coloured blush, something you can't really get away with in winter but a colour that I find suits my complexion well, so the first place I looked was Sleek as I didn't want to spend too much money and lo and behold I find the most beautiful peach blush that goes by the name of Life's a Peach (thumbs up for the name, Sleek!).

When I saw it I thought "wow, that's bright" but actually when I swatched it, even though it was highly pigmented, the colour was nowhere near as bright as it looks in the pan - it's very subtle and in my opinion the perfect summer daytime blush (as you can see in the swatch below).
It's the most gorgeous orangey peach, it's completely matte which I love, it blends beautifully, and lasts a good amount of time, and all for £4.49 - I really cannot complain!
The packaging is just like all the Sleek packaging, thin, black, sleek (hence the name) but definitely difficult to open! But that's a small price to pay, as when you do get inside the product is fabulous.

I have been wearing this every single time I've worn makeup over the last month, I adore it, so if you're looking for a good subtle, but buildable, summer blush this is definitely one to consider.
I'd recommend this for people with fairer complexions, I feel like if your skin is dark it may not show up very well.

Buy it here!

What's your go to summer blush?

On My Face Today

Today I went for Clinique Even Better Foundation, I really love this foundation - it gives such good coverage and it's so gentle on my skin, and as my skin is feeling a bit sensitive at the moment I couldn't not wear it today. I applied it with the Real Techniques buffing brush from the core collection, I normally use my expert face brush but I find the buffing brush better with the even better foundation.
I then used the Collection Lasting Perfection concealer, oops forgot to photograph it.
I filled in my brows with the Fashionista brow kit, which is currently half price in superdrug! Go get it, it's great.
I put a bit of Kitten eyeshadow from the Stila In The Light Palette and then used Maybelline Gel Eyeliner and drew a slight flick. I then used my favourite mascara which is Maybelline The Falsies.

On to my cheeks, I contoured with Nars Luguna Bronzer, put some Rose Gold blush on from Sleek (I have this in the Face Form palette but you can get it individually here) - it's by far my favourite blush at the moment - such a gorgeous peachy shade with shimmer - it's a dupe for the famous Nars Orgasm blush. Then highlighted from the same palette.
Lastly, and the best part in my opinion, is lips - Revlon Super Lustrous Lipgloss in Kiss Me Coral.

Today's Makeup!

Today's Makeup

I'm one of those people who likes to change around what makeup they wear daily, I don't have a staple daily makeup routine or anything - however the past couple of weeks I have stuck to practically the same things, and I thought I'd share it with you!

I use my RImmel Wake Me Up Foundation, I know so many love this and I'm one of them. Best high street/drugstore foundation.
My Fashionista Brow Kit, I got this from Superdrug for about £4, so cheap and works so well.
Sleek Face Form palette in Light - I love this so much, £10 for an amazing bronzer, highlighter and blush - bargain.
Sleek Storm Eyeshadow palette I love Sleek a lot, these eyeshadows are great! I've been using a shimmery one (second along, top row) and a medium brown for the outer corner and crease (second from last, bottom row).
Stila Smudge Stick waterproof eyeliner in Damsel I got this free with a Stila eyeshadow palette and I really like it, it's a dark brown so it's more subtle than black, I like to blend it in to the eyeshadow at the lash line so it's not a harsh line.
Revlon Lip Butter in Juicy Papaya I featured this in my May Favourites which you can read and see swatches of here, I love it a lot. Such a pretty colour.

What makeup have you been wearing daily recently?

Sleek Face Form in Fair Review

I have wanted the sleek face contour kit for quite a while now, and I have also wanted to try their blushes, so when I was in Superdrug the other day and came across the bronzer and highligher from the face contour kit AND a blusher all in 1 palette for £10 I had to get it, and I have to say Sleek really are brilliant!

It comes in the above card packaging/box, which I personally think isn't necessary and a bit of a waste of paper, but hay ho. You open it and inside is the lovely sleek (yes, sleek) rectangular packaging which I LOVE, it reminds me slightly of the Nars packaging, however this one doesn't get anywhere near as messy as the Nars ones do. The box itself is smaller than you'd probably expect but I think a lovely size, especially for travelling or popping in your handbag. It isn't flimsy, and the box doesn't open really easily so it wont get your bag all messy! (MASSIVE BONUS)

You open it up and inside is a beautiful bronzer, highlighter and lovely blush (looks a bit scary in the pan but it's amazing on).

I love the bronzer because it's not at all orangy and it's practically matte, it has the tiniest amount of shimmer in but so do practically all bronzers, if you want to contour with bronzer then the less shimmer the better. It goes so nicely onto the skin, it's easy to blend and because I got the colour 'fair' in this palette it's not too dark for my white as white skin tone, which I find sometimes my Nars Laguna is (but I do adore that bronzer).
The highlighter is a really lovely light pink shade with shimmer running through it, when applied it comes out very light, which is obviously what you want with a highlighter and it's not gold or metallically like my favourite highlighter (Mac MSF, review here) but sometime's it's nice to have a change, and it's not so full on so if you've gone bold with other areas of your make up you don't want an overly shimmer gold toned highlighter.
The blusher is gorgeous, it's a bright corally, goldy peach colour with gold shimmers, like I said before it does look slightly scary and bright in the pan but once applied (gently with a soft hand) it looks gorgeous, it gives such a nice glow to the face and compliments the bronzer and highlighter well. I believe you can get this blush individually as well, it's called Rose Gold and it's a well known dupe for the high end blusher Orgasm by Nars. Rose Gold is less pink than orgasm and less shimmery but apart from that they are extremely similar, especially when applied.

Left to right - Bronzer, highlighter, blusher.

All 3 of these powders are extremely highly pigmented, a little will go a long way and they will last ages. They are so easy to blend, very flattering to my skin tone, I got the fair palette but they also do the colours light, medium and dark to choose from, so there's one to suit everyone!
They last for hours and hours and they're just beautiful. For £10 I think this palette is an absolute bargain, the quality of the packaging and the powders is up there with the high-end brands! I would definitely recommend this Face Form palette from Sleek.

Available from selected Superdrug stores and on the SLEEK WEBSITE.
