I've been on the hunt for a new fragrance. I absolutely adore my YSL Black Opium, but sometimes find it a little heavy. I wanted something lighter, more girly but not too sweet, a combination that was actually quite tricky to find, especially as I'm quite fussy when it comes to scents anyway. After trying out goodness knows how many samples (I now have quite the collection) I decided on Flowerbomb by Viktor and Rolf. What can I say? It was love at first sniff.
Flowerbomb is exactly what I was looking for. It's definitely a floral scent, but it's not overpowering like the name suggests it could be. The mixture of floral notes accompanied by a woody, almost musky base is the perfect balance and every time I get a whiff I just fall more in love.
The perfume is described as full-bodied and opulent, with sensations of mandarin, orange and jasmine. As well as middle notes of Catleya orchid, freesia, rose and a woody base note of Patchouli.
Fragrance Notes
Top Notes: Bergamot, Tea
Heart Notes: Jasmine, Freesia, Orchid
Base Notes: Centiflora Rose, Patchouli
Longevity wise this perfume pretty great. It's not quite as long-lasting as my beloved Black Opium, which you could probably still smell on an item of clothing months and months after you sprayed it...if you were someone who didn't wash their clothes, but Flowerbomb lasts the whole day without needing a top up.

Flowerbomb isn't the cheapest of perfumes, but nor is it overpriced. A 30ml bottle will set you back £50, but I opted for the petite size of 20ml which is priced at just under £30 on AllBeauty.com.
If you get a chance to have a little spray of this perfume I urge you to. I will warn you though, the scent is undeniably addictive. It's a winner for me!
This sounds like it smells so gorgeous xo

It does! Such a lovely scent x
DeleteI think for a perfume that doesn't need topping up throughout the day, it's worth spending a bit more on! Definitely want to try this, I love floral scents!

I definitely agree, this one is lovely x
DeleteI like the idea of trying the petite size bottle to see if I like it. As I sometime find that once I am out of the shop I no longer like the smell off some perfumes. Do you know if AllBeauty.com ship worldwide?

Lovely scents aren't they! Thankyou x
DeleteThis is one of my friend's favourite scents. You really can't go wrong with Viktor & Rolf! Personally, I'm dying to get a bottle of Bon Bon but I have so many perfumes to work through.

YSL Black Opium is my current perfume and I completely agree sometimes it's a bit too heavy. I've been in love with Flowerbomb for such a long time but never purchased it (I don't know why!) and you've just reminded me of my love for it! x
